Building a Coptic liturgical app in French, from zero to shipped

The problem
The Coptic community in French-speaking countries have limited options in terms of digital liturgical companion. Existing apps were English-only. Running and following the liturgy meant printed booklets, inconsistent pdfs and powerpoint documents, and keeping content updated was a pain.
The approach
Took on the full product role: engineering lead, UX designer, team manager, and stakeholder liaison with users and stakeholders. Built a native mobile app as well as a custom CMS that connects directly to the app (no app store update needed to push content changes).
The outcome
Shipping to both iOS and Android. 10+ volunteer contributors onboarded and active. Coptic liturgical app in French, Arabic and Coptic. Used weekly in Coptic churches across French-speaking countries.
